NHRC Nigeria is pleased to release its February 2025 Human Rights Situation Dashboard, prepared in line with its mandate under the National Human Rights Commission (Amendment) Act 2010.
This month’s report highlights a rise in rape cases, as well as a high number of violations related to freedom of religion, economic, social, and cultural rights. Additionally, there were significant violations by state actors and an alarming number of deaths by accidents.
During the presentation of the dashboard, the Commission urged the government to address underlying social issues that have human rights implications for Nigerians.
