As Nigeria joins the rest of the International Community to mark the World Refugees Day, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called on the government and other duty bearers to redouble their efforts in protecting and supporting refugees, migrants, Asylum seekers, stateless persons and internally displaced persons in order for them to rebuild their lives in dignity.

As the World marks Elder Abuse Awareness Day the Executive Secretary National Human Rights Commission, Dr. Tony Ojukwu OFR, SAN, has called on stakeholders especially the media to use their various platforms to amplify the significance of the Day and the imperatives of supporting the older persons to contribute their quota to the overall well-being and development of Nigeria.
