NHRC ORGANISES HUMAN RIGHTS TRAINING FOR POLICE OFFICERS IN SIX GEOPOLITICAL ZONES.

The National Human Rights Commission has trained Nigerian police officers across the six geopolitical zones of the country to enable them mainstream human rights principles in the course of their duties.

Police states commands that benefited from the human rights training include Kano, Enugu, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Lagos Anambra, Niger Sokoto and Gombe.

Others are Kaduna, Benue, FCT, Imo, Ekiti and Edo State. The training which was done in phases commenced in 2013 and ended on the 21st, Aug. 2017.
